Unlock With MacOS X
I want to unlock my v360. However, the software I can find to do that (P2K Easy Tools, got_moto) are Windows-only software. Is there a method to unlock the v360 from Mac OS X?
Thanks,

What type of Unlock?
- Carrier-specific (Locked to T-Mobile), or
- RSA-specific (Can't flash, etc.)
To date, the v360 is still running YuetMod 1.8 firmware.

It is a carrier specific lock. Your guess is correct, it is locked to T-Mobile. What I want to do is change carriers (among other things). I'm not sure I understand you ... are you saying you just called T-Mobile and they happily gave you the unlock code?
Incidentally, I misspoke slightly in my last message. I have a v330, not a v360 if that makes a difference. It's been so long since I used this phone I forgot what model it was

If you are in good standing with T-Mobile (more than 3 months on the account), they will unlock it for you. Do it before you switch carriers obviously. Just call up their Customer Service, and ask for the unlock code. Tell them you will be travelling to Canada and want to use a Canadian prepaid SIM. If they don't do it, hang up, and call back, get someone different.

Hey Jetpack unlocking on a mac probably not going to happen, easiest fastest way to unlock is to get ahold of a PC, PM cash, and do a remote unlock for $$. Assuming tmo won't unlok for you that is.

T-Mobile is processing my SIM unlock request. I'll just have to wait a bit and see how that goes.
Although the T-Mobile rep I contacted via telephone attempted to be helpful, she was a bit out to lunch. However, contacting them through email has been much more productive. Just thought you might like to know that little fact in case anyone here needs to deal with T-Mobile's customer service in the future.
Thanks for all the help, folks. I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future

Um, SIM unlock? I don't think that is going to unlock the phone.

confused?
Hello,I've been researching these post for a week now and I have found the software"pk2" "and a few others to run my v360 on my pc, the 32bit version seems to work for me best. I can read all the files on my v360 now, "GRIN" but I gave no idea of what I'm looking for and less knowledge of what to change?? I can't locate a post that tells me what to change to unlock my v360 vsw , it's branded to t-mobile,and I'd like to use it with a perpaid card or my old iwireless card. Please direct me to the correct files to do this. my moto v360 is a far much better ohine than my new nokia, Thank you very much for your help, I have found a lot of very interesting post on this site. Im disabled with heart failure so I have lots of boring time to burn playing with my phones & guitars
Thanks
dan
