Flip Sounds v3
Greets all.
I apollogize if this is not the right place, but i'm spanking new to the razr thing.
I just picked up a cingular (at&t) razr v3. I simply want to add the ability to have it play a sound byte/sound effect when I open and close the clamshell. Can anyone please direct me on how to start? I run a Mac, no access to Windows.
I tried installing this "Valleo media viewer" or something to that effect via bluetooth, and it will not work; when the program installs and is launched it says "application error". There has to be some way to get it to play sounds when you open the shell.
Any help you all might have would be appreciated deeply.
Thanks for your time all.

UPDATE:
Well all, I firmly believe this go-phone razr v3 I just bought off the shelf at Wal-Mart cannot be modded. Nothing on the mac works, and I just spent the last 5 hours at a friend's house using his PC with XP. I tried all the windows software, and followed I don't know how many guides, installing drivers, downloading programs etc and this phone just won't work with them.
Some software, including the stuff on the mac will get as far as "connected", yet none of the filesystem can be browsed. There is no way to send or read anything back and forth between the softwares or the phone.
This piece of
has to have been manufactured to not be mod-able. There is not one method of usb to pc/mac connectivity I haven't tried at this point. I'm so aggrivated that I just have to lose.
Take my advice and avoid this particular razr. All this time and effort just to get Cpt. Kirk's communicator chirp when I open the shell. That one little function is all I was after.

the phone is moddable, i have hacked v3's myself in windows and in linux, but never mac. When using a windows xp machine, make sure you get the drivers from the motorola site.

And, by the way... for fliptones, you need mediaviewer working, which, out of the V3 models, only works on V3i and V3r.
