uploading pics from phone to a Mac computer
when I plug my phone in it recognizes it as a modem, do I need special software in order to do it?

Is there a motorola phone tools for mac? If so then try to get a copy. It is supposed to be detected as a modem by default so that is not wrong.

move to MotoModding thread for better response.

No special software needed (usually) with all things mac, it just works with the OS. Depending on your phone, you can use the built-in bluetooth or moto4lin or my newly released Macp2k to access ur phones filesystem.

Or you can plug him into your Mac with a USB-cable. Your phone will apear as a disk copy (white disk). You can see all your normal files, such as the pictures, videos etc. The uploadspeed is faster with USB.

My Razr does not show up on screen. I do not have a memory card yet. Will this allow it to mount?
How is your network system preferences setup?Last edited by nrowe46; 11-30-2007 at 10:57 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I think you would have to pay for internet services to be able to email the pictures from your phone. Unless if you have a great package from your telecom provider that allows you some internet usage/email.
Not quite sure about the mem card thing though. You want to know if it will show up as a removable drive in windows as in the case of flash drives etc? For sure you could always use M-Explorer to browse the phone and the mem card.
