V980M problem

Hi everyone!

i have this old V980M phone that cant send SMS.
i have tried to find a flash file for this so i can flash it coz I'm thinking that it might solve the problem... but i cant seem to find one anywhere... is there a rom or flash or a monster pack(i dunno what its called) that exists for this phone? please help..

Is it a GSM or CDMA phone? Who is your provider?

its from vodafone... my uncle got it from europe.. the manual is in spanish so im guessing its from spain or somewhere...

im using it here in the philippines... Globe telecoms is the provider.

im looking for a flash file for it so i could flash it... im thinking it will solve the problem(i dunno if im right )

Hi all! I finally were able to fix my v980... i flashed it with c975 firmware... then it asked for subsidy code so i unlocked it using MSTOOL..

The problem now is that the cursor keys are not working...
please guys help me... i dont know what to do

There are different versions around. Do you want the Vodafone or an unbranded flash, and is it a R26 or a R24 software on it? Start the phone in BL mode, # and * and "power on" simultaneously to start the phone. There are different firmwares too, but Brandingfree R26_U_83.39.23I is the latest I can get you. But this would be only for V980 with R26_U_83.38.38.04.01P or higher.

edit: oh sir... the phone's bootloader is 05f1 and the software is r24... anyways.. I'm downloading the file that you have uploaded... i'll try the r26 and see if it works with this ancient fone of mine

Sir i have downloaded the file but MSTOOL cant open it... it says it is an invalid file... i am sorry... i know i'm being a nuisance...

UPDATE: Sir I have finally got MSTOOL to recognize the file but during flashing.... the phone turns off... an error appears when it comes to the point when its uploading cg1.

UPDATE:

I finally made it work... the problem was the Bootloader... i upgraded the bootloader to 6.12 and it all worked... the cursor are working again and the external LCD is working again too.

edit: I used RSD LITE and some bootloader files i found using the almighty google. Anyone needing these files just PM me...
