Ok world.... So let's get some positive information for this one. Mabye it can become a sticky for the V3r R3443U2.

With the T-Mobile My Favs the service does have to be activated with a My Favs phone. Once you have modded your phone you can no longer change your My Favs from your phone, you have to do it online. The only problem is that online there will be a question mark next to the number saying that their system is awaiting confirmation from your phone. T-mobiles system tries to send a text message to the My Favs software on the phone to confirm the number change.

Here are some questions with that....

Q. Even though the system shows "Waiting for confirmation" are the calls to and from that number free anyways?
Q. Does that number change ever expire since the system cannot confirm with the phone?

Maybe we can clear up these questions. I couldn't find information as to this or people attesting to their actual usage and not getting billed for those numbers.

you can indeed change your top 5 from the phone with myfavs disabled, i do it all the time; just go to tzones and there should be an option to do it from there
