Unlocking Tmobile for cingular use?
Ok. So I need to unlock this phone. The information on it is...
Boot loader 0A.52.
Sw Version
R3443U2_G_0E.C0.15R
So what all do I need to do exactly? Is there a really easy way to do it?

The guide I used was the sticky at the top of this section. It said to touch test point then turn on the phone and we aren't having any luck.

It sounds like you're not getting a good testpoint connection. Make sure you're on the correct testpoint (it is VERY small), and the other end of your testpoint tool (wire, etc.) is connected to a good ground (try the metal cover on the USB port). You don't just touch the testpoint, then power up. You have to hold the testpoint the entire time you are applying the battery and clicking the "Do selected jobs" box. Don't remove the testpoint until prompted to do so. If you don't get the "remove testpoint" popup, you didn't get a good tespoint connection. Also, are you positive you're using software version 3.9 and have V3R selected in the "Phone model" drop down box?

I TP mine and it worked like the first time... Just get a good connection, and a second pair of hands. Remember to take your time, it's not a race. It will tell you to disconnect TP obviously and yeah. So yeah, best of luck!

yea it took me a while to realize that the tp was actually really small and not the whole areas that i saw in one tp picture, and yea i used a needle with a wire string to it and the other end to the circuit metal housing, and it worked great
