Test pointed a T-mobile V3r, went fine. Ran PDS repair went fine. Phone now shows:
    Boot Loader
    0A.30.
    SW Version::
    Not Found

    What now?
Do I need to install a new MP?

Yes, flash a stock MP. Either r4515 or r3443u2, depends what you had. Make sure they are unlocked. Most of our MP are unlocked, if they are not its stated in the download page.

Now boot loader comes up as soon as battery is applied. Shows this now:

    Boot Loader
    0A.30.
    SW Version:
    R4515_G_08.BD.2AR_2
    PHONE CODE SIG ERROR:

    OK to Program
    Connect USB
    Data Cable

Any idea what could be wrong now?

There is a R4515 Stock MP in the DL section which has the firmware 43R. Try that one first and see if it takes. If your PDS stayed at a newer level, e.g. PDS007 and not PDS005 then you will need to flash the D3R firmware MP which says it is tested, also in the DL section.

Well now it's back to just doing a quick flash of the keypad lights when you turn it on and nothing else. Is this a brick or is there something else to try?

The Unlock thinks that you have 0A.30 bootloader and modifies the PDS accordingly. It will be stuck at the HelloMoto screen, until you PDS repair it which will downgrade the bootloader to 0A.30

Have you checked all the connections and are you using a direct USB port in the back of the PC?
