V3 shows Hello Moto and shuts off

    Hello all,

I am new to the flashing and flexing of mobile phones, and am trying to repair a phone that I have. This phone will only boot to the Hello Moto screen now and shuts off. I can get to the boot loader screen but when I plug it into the computer it is showing up as a S Flash Neptune LTE2 device. I am guessing this is the base hardware name for the device. I have tried some of the guides, and downloaded the drivers that are on this site to no avail. Can anyone help me get this phone to connect to my XP computer so I can reflash the phone. Thanks for your help.

If it shows as S-Flash Neptune LTE 2, then it isn't a r374 v3 but a v3r or else. The v3 is an LTE 1 phone.

Yeah after i posted i found it to be a V3r. Any clues on how to get past the driver issue so I can get the phone connected? I have followed all the getting connected guides and found most of them to be based on the fact that you can boot the phone.

If you can't boot the phone, you won't be able to get most of the drivers installed. But you only need the "flash interface" driver to flash the phone. If you start in bootloader mode, and connect to RSD Lite, these drivers will install. It seems like they already have.

Yes you can, and while testpointing you can write direct to the protected area.
