just wanting to confirm something here...???
ok so here, im not a newb, but im not an expert either, i have a V3R, from "Rogers" canadian gsm provider. it is sim locked, and i have flashed a mp to it, i used nightfall's 4515 mp pack, here is my relevant V3R info...
-- Boot Loader Screen --
Boot Loader
0A.52.
SW Version:
R4515_G_08.BD.D3R
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
-- END Boot Loader Screen --
-- Other Information Screen --
S/W Version:
R4515_G_08.BD.D3R
Flex Version:
GSTV3xx05T676DT068-1.0.4.3.2.8.0.2Z.0.0.0.0.0.0.R.J.1.U.6.T
H/W Version:
SJUG1520DC
-- END Other Information Screen --
Now... will this info from this post work on my phone, or no, it seems it has worked for a few, but were they versions other than mine, or were some of them 4515's?? not sure if process might be different or not??,, if it is, has anyone done a 100% success on a 4515 v3r? any help or additional info would be so helpful. im a fido customer who got this phone for free and want to use it on rogers

P.S.
i have now unlocked 2 v3r's this way with no problems. good luck and it never hurts to back-up your phone! "( END Quote )

unlocking v3r 4515 with ray 2x's method
i wanted to confirm if the method used by ray 2x to unlock his v3r would work on mine, its a 4515 firmware not the 3443... so i was curious as to if it would work or not, and if anyone else was successful in doing this method, as this is my only phone, i dont need to have a brick, but i have both fido and rogers accounts, and only one phone, rogers is for work, fido is for personal, so when im not at work, i dont want to run my bill on the rogers., id rather use my pay as u go fido chip,
any info would be greatful

I have a r4515 myself and going by some who have tried, p2k easy tools can be a brick maker with it. There are some info about a newer version then 3.9, and there was some success, without any risk would be an IMEI service which works oput your subsidy code, they are not to expensive but can't give a guarantee either. but they don't brick things, lol. I dot know how much rogers would charge you for the code if you were going abroad fpr example, find out.

you need to do PDS repair again. make sure you do the Testpoint properly. i like to run RSDlite before performing the TP, this way when it shows up in RSDlite as s-Blank Neptune LTE2 i know to remove the TP wire. if it remains in RSDlite at this point, you have made a proper TP. Now go into p2k easy tools and select the PDS repair feature.
it is nicely described in the v3r unlocking guide
