i dont think that p2k is working on my pc/phone.. i did everything you said (though on a newer version of p2k) and every time my phone starts up now i get the setup incomplete message. and tzones does not work at all. i am not sure where what went wrong.
Hi. I tried what you said to do. I followed it completely. Still gives me the same message,need to enable java sessions to access network or something to that affect. The tzones internet is still working fine,as is the audio player it came with. I am checking the email as I type this. Seems to be working fine. So i dont get why its not working. Any help is appreciated. Thanks alot.
Nm i think it is working now. I messed up with the web session and delete the j2me file. My ebuddy is messed up and im trying google maps now too. This phone is slow as heck. But i think it might be working. Well that didnt work,says i need a data connection. Hrmph. One more to try. Eh i dunno whats going on with this. I give up for tonite. :P
Hi again. Ok i got some of the apps to work,but now tzones wont load. Or its taking a really long time to load. I see that when i put back the j2m file,it loads fine but of course the apps wont work again. Any idea what is going on with this?Thanks.
Im back. I got it to work! yay. What happened was this time i tried just making a new web session as you have written out this time instead of using the one you made. That worked! Now i can use opera mini and google maps. Im trying to find a im program that will work on here too,so far none have worked. Not sure what is up with that. Ebuddy gets all funky,no images and text is messed up so you cant really do anything. Nimbuzz wont connect. So off to try another one. Thanks for your post being here,else id be totally lost.

When I figured out that the w490 was on lock down to only allow wap pages I was ready to list it on Ebay... now I got Opera running, thanks very much!!!!
everyone that modded websession, what are you doing for music player?

what versions of gmail mobile and google maps mobile are you using? I downloaded the most recent ones, and the down button doesn't work at all in maps, and it only refreshes the inbox in gmail. do you have these problems too?
I had that problem with my W490 also, and had to revert to older versions of both programs. (I think they are both posted in the Downloads section here, by the way.)
My dap does not function now. I used it as my mp3 player and this blows currently. There is NO flash backup files out there for this phone from my hours of searching, so beware! Opera is cool, but my mp3 player was more important to me. Any workarounds? I have tried installing every other version of the DAP and nada.
Nice job. :-) I just got internet through t-mobile and noticed my browsing (if you could call it that) was sorely limited. Your remedy worked perfectly. Now I can use Opera and search wherever I want.
