W490 flash issues.

i've been messing with my handset and have gotten it to the point above where it wants a USB cable connection.

but when i try to apply a flash in either F&B3 or P2KToolsVS 3.0.8 i get errors - specifically

error sending CG1 etc in F&B

error going to address 66879504 invalid pointer operation in P2K

RSDLite4.1 just turns the usb on/off not even recognising the handset.

when trying to flash the phone its screen will turn white as though its about to start the sw upgrade but never gets that far.

I have another w490 but i only backed it up ,im not going to risk messing it up since i need at least one working phone

also when the flash process tries to JUMP i get a critical error on the handset, the error codes seem to change randomly.

What are you trying to flash to it? For F&B, you need the right loader and profile files; I think there are such files available for the W510, which is essentially the same phone.

i tried flashing the w510 files but that seemed to make matters worse .

i have both the loader and profiles for the w490 and the w510.

nothing good coming from any of these.

Dont know if this is on the right track, but you might compare your profile addresses that you added into f&b to known functional firmwares. Find a w490 and w510 MP and split it in sbf-recalc and compare the start and end address to your profiles. Shx codec will work also. For the time being, if you need teh cell, flash something other than your backup using rsd.

maybe this is a tell tale sign of something but when i try RSD 4 the program just turns the usb connection on and off it never connects with the phone.
i've tried replacing the usb drivers up and down with no luck.also tried going down to version 3.6 of rsd and still the same problem.other programs will admit to a phone being hooked up, f&b will report the phone model etc and so will p2k commander and tools.
but RSDLite 4 will just sit there showing the phone for a split second then gone , showing it then gone.

also RSD works fine recognising my other w490. just thought that i should rule out the possibility of bad software .

ok...wait till you hear this:
on my atempt to change my software i deleted all w490 software existence in my house
then...i tried putting another one form the net and..now my phone is stuck..it keeps saying cricical error DEDE 00AD
i would really apreciate some help

I have a W490 that I flashed to W510, but am a little unhappy with it. Especially the templates folder which is in Chinese or Japanese, am not sure. Anyway I wish to down grade back to W490, but don't know where or how to start. And no I did not back up my phone before flashing.(STUPID ME) Can anyone help me out here please?????

i was messing with the p2k tool i flash the phone and when it finish flash the phone didnt came on. the i plug it on the pc again the pc read it. p2k as well but in test mode. p2k is show the phone model at the bottom anymore. when i try to flash it it start to flash then this came up. error going to address 66879504. im freaking out need help?

I have a W490 i was trying to unlock with Rocker Dongle, it went up to 85% and then stuck in Boot Loader mode with PH SIG ERR 39:02. i TRIED flashing with F& b and also Rsd, but no can do...always getting a timeout or phone disconnecting and reconnecting alternately. Can someone Please assist me to get this phone working again, its a customer's phone. Rocker support is slow.
