Hope it's refunded after the transaction goes through or I'm suing western union, because a $20 fee on $30 is BS. Guess it was in the 2000 word strong TOS, and I just don't have the patience to read through all that. Besides whoever heard of charging the money sender?

Alright, I'm NEVER using western union again. Here's what happened:
I called them up and had to go through atleast 10 menu's to get to a customer rep. Upon finally getting a rep on the line, I politely inquired about this $20 fee they had charged me on a measly $30.
The guy on the phone went on a rant about how western union values its customer's opinions and bla blah and how he was going to forward this to the manager blah blah. After his 2 minute long rant he was about to hang up on me, but i barked in and asked him what the f*** had happened to my money, and why I was charged for this, and not the recipient .
He said that there was nothing he could do about it, that it was the standard fee and that the sender is always charged for western union. I asked him if a 90% fee was what he called "standard fees". No reply to this and he started going on another rant about how he valued my suggestions blah blah and was going to hang up again until i brought in the term "legal".
After that I was told about how the fees are clearly stated before I send the money. Fact is, they DON'T show you the fees. All i saw was a $30 and a SEND button, which I pressed. Seriously what happened to this world?
Well, enough with my rant, bottom line is that I'm not ever using western union again even if it is the last hope for my sick grandmother in Alaska. I lost around 20 bucks for nothing, but neon was kind enough to promise me 10 bucks for my trouble, so I'm good. Thanks bro.
I guess I'm just stupid for getting all flared up for 20 bucks, but I'm a college student and money is hard to come by
Yeah. I got charged for a $75 transfer also. It sucks. That's why I now use Paypal. But I understand how that doesn't really work in this situation. Hope everything turns out well. I'll close this up.
