    Maxx with H/W issues

I just got a "AS-IS, untested" maxx of e*** for $1.29. housing is in immaculate condition, front glass is perfect, aside from some scratches on the inside screen its mint, I was really suprised to get it for so cheap.
I'm wondering if there is any H/W issues with the Maxx that are fairly common, The condition of the phone, makes me believe that it was never dropped, or mis-treated in any way. The liquid inticators are still in new condition. But the phone does nothing, doesnt attempt to turn on in anyway, and i get nothing when hooking it up to USB, or trying to get bootloader. Im going to buy a fully working one in a couple weeks, but Im just looking for any ideas for a heads up or something, before i just start testing all the parts.
Thanks Sublime1184 for the awesome siggy

OK, first (and stupid) thing to remind: battery status must be OK.
Then you must be aware of the USB malfunctions some of the MAXXes have (it has been observed in various cases, no matter what fw they use, VL/LD, 1LD, U, or AS_U). A common symptom is that the PC doesn't recognize the phone's USB DATA logger.
What really puzzles me is that the phone actually wont boot up, or go to BL mode. Assuming battery is OK, by turning it on, even if the internal LiCa battery is exhausted, the phone has got to boot up, yet its stability will sway.
Last but not least, is the PCB. If broken or cracked, then you got a "blind" phone with unexpected boot up results.

This is all I can think of, ATM....
