Java app minimize on flip-close
Hi.
Im sorry if it was already asked, but I searched and could not find the answer . . .
I recently got a Motorola V6 Maxx.
I tried recording with the phone (not a phone call).
When I started the built-in voice recorder, and flipped the top to close,
the recording stopped.
I also tried a Java App - called DictaPhone, which I used on my previous - Motorola V3x.
This app is used as a voice recorder.
When I flipped the V3x to close - the App continued to run and record,
but on the V6 Maxx - when I Flip-Close the phone, the recording is stopped, and I have to go to "Games and Apps" and select resume, and - well, as I said - the recording had stopped when I closed the phone.
So - My question is:
Is there a way to enable java running when the phone is flipped-closed (like on my V3x) ?
or
Is there a way to have the built-in voice recorder to continue recording when the phone is flipped-close . . .
Many thanks in advance.

Eventually (today) I found a solution -
I searched the web (for the millionth time) and found that
I can define an entry in the jad file
FlipInsensitive: True.
It didnt work :-)
But - I reverse-installed (searched them for the DictaPhone app) the JAD-Jar pair from the V3x,
and installed them on the V6, and it seems to run when the device is closed but . . .
When the device is closed - nothing is recorded.
Bummer !!

So I can't remember exactly what you should do, but you need to activate the speakerphone when flip is closed, a long time ago I did that, I attached the necesary files for you.

MB300 a.k.a Backflip dead if you know how to unbrick it please PM me

Thanks for the file.
I opened it, and two files seemed relevant:
audio_cfg_b.db - which I tried opening with MotoSound -
and got noting (no fields, and no values)
while MotoSound did recognize fields and values in the audio_cfg_b.db I copied from my phone . . .
and
dev_cfg.cini - which I could not find on the phone, and could not find the app that reads/creates this kind of files . . .
So -
If you could extend a bit more help - I would be thankful.
Besides that -
I tried modding the seem that allows for speakerphone when flipped-closed.
It only allowed the phone to not disconnect on closing, but still DID mute the mic.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks
===================== Edit -
please see the edit section in the post:
Mic muted when flipped closed
It seems that the change is in seem 0032.
If you still have the device, and the mic. works when it is closed -
can you extract that seem 0032 and post it (I would at least try to compare it with mine) ?Last edited by Som30ne; 03-12-2011 at 04:35 AM.
