Hi,
I followed the Solution 2 and now Screen3 are no longer an issue while i changed the sim card. But now, i cannot use Restrict Calls facility bcoz the password was always wrong. Before Applying the Solution 2, it works with standard pass code '1234'.

Anyone can assist me ?

Yes. It's possible without flashing or changing the firmware. Follow Solution one in the Guide (It's easy).

but why is it stated in solution 1 that after downloading the firmware indicated there?i'll just simply follow the instructions there and theres no need to change my firmware?

ramira,i have tried the solution one but theres no .dat file extension on my a/mobile/kjava/installed.can you explain it to me much further?

1. (to disabled the launchbar) : Delete [j2me2.attr & j2me2.jad & j2me2] in a/mobile/kjava/installed/

2. (to disable the screen 3) : Delete all files founded in a/mobile/mixedmedia (that's mean deleted "mixedmedia" folder.

Backup all those files before start deleting. Good luck

i have a question again..why is that it doesnt have j2me2.attr,j2me2.jad and j2me2 in my a/mobile/kjava/installed/?it only have j2me1 and j2me0...but i cant find the j2me2..

my firmware is R26117LD_U_98.30.80R with the flex version USVOLANT678RKR26117022...any ideas why it does not have the j2me2.attr,j2me2.jad and j2me2?

Is there any way to "add" launchbar and SCREEN 3 to VL phone ?? Or, have i add only files from them and do seem edits ?

Thanks OCM770 it worked for home screen, not for headlines but nevermind. One other thing now I can't hide the home keys icons. Can anybody solve this?

Disable the "launchbar" and the "screen 3". Try this:

1) Headlines disable:
Seem: 0032_0001
Offset: BB
Bit: 6 (unchecked)

2) Launch Bar
Seem: 0032_0001
offset: BB
bit: 1 (unchecked)

3) Seem: 004a_0001
Offset: 29D
Offset value: 00 (enables to hide the home keys icons)

4) Then delete the j2me2 dat's which is found in a/mobile/kjava/installed.
Now the launchbar is disabled.

5) To disable the screen 3 you must go to a/mobile/mixedmedia and delete all the dats.

Restart the phone and you are done now.

This solution works perfect Prince_V now only need a seem edit for unlock the left softkey, I have "Quick Menu" and want to dissable, any idea?
