Motorola Phone Tools won't connect

Everyone I am having a problem with my motorola phone tools. I installed it when I first got my phone and it worked fine. Since then I have used hex editor and done seem edits. When I came back to use it, it didn't work. It says that the phone is "still initializing." My phone is up to date as is the software and the drivers are all installed.

Everyone seems to love p2k tools, although I myself can't get it to work with my z3.

If you're interested you need to open the config file after you've downloaded it and scroll down to the bottom where all the F/W listings are and type in the first part of your firmware and save it

It didn't work with my F1 but i know it works for people with 2B.

If not, I use p2k commander, but that's a very tempermental program, but I got used to it...

i use p2k tools for everything but music and videos. it works for them, but takes about 3 times longer to load them than mpt does. have you tried manually setting your phone to usb mode via the phone menu and seeing if it will connect?

I have the same Problem ever since I started to mod the phone so I only use P2k tools

I never thought about that but I'm almost positive it wont work

Hmm... I've never attempted p2k tools for photos and videos. I want to make more ringtones for my phone. I have noticed that it stopped working after I modded the phone.

Maybe reinstalling the drivers?

you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the program. that's where i would start. you can also get mp3 editing software and transfer them to your phone with p2k tools or p2k commander. just put them in the audio file. there are some mp3 editors in this thread http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78701

Hey MasterE! Big breakthrouh this afternoon. I tried unmodding my phone so it won't be accessible without a sim card and guess what... Motorola Phone Tools works now. 100%. Just create a new profile and go. Thanks for suggestions everyone!
