Need help using z3 without simcard!

Hey guys i've got a spare z3 lying around collecting dust and i'm wondering how i could get it to work without a sim? i could use it for playing music , videos and such kinda like a mp3 player / camera.

I've tried reflashing it with most of the monster packs that say they require "no sim" for the z3 to work but i always get the "insert sim" message , i've also tried the guide in the guide section "[Guide] Run your phone without a SIM card "

Could anybody please help me?

I used that mod, and I didn't notice any mods that won't work. :/

only network related or SIM dependant features wont work (like GPRS)
