Bit of a noob question but please help!!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with what seems like quite a stupid question. When I receive txts it displays only the number of the contact but not the actual contact's name. It displays either only the subject or the number in the inbox as well. Is there any way to set it so that it displays contact name in the inbox? Otherwise I have no idea who sent the txt!

Thanks!
Thanks

Its means you don't have that number in the phone contacts..save that number in the phone contacts and then check the inbox it will show you the contacts name.
Thanks

By phone contacts you mean phone book right? I had all my previous contacts saved to the sim card so I just set the phonebook to read off the sim card. Do I have to resave all contacts to the phone?
Thanks
