Z3 Bootloader Issues

hi there u guys, heres my problem
for some reason my bootloader changed from 0A.C3 to 02.08 a few months ago, and i dont know how to restablish it back to original one. I must add that my rizr works perfectly, the problem is that with this "new" bootloader, i cant flash ANY file to my phone! No MP's, no DRM's, no CG's, no langpacks, no STOCK flashes, no backups and no nothing! I CAN make backups of it but then I cant restore them cuz of this. Most of the software that need to check on bootloader to work, wont work with mine.

Any ideas? someone has the same problem? FB3, RSDlite, MSTools, RAMLDR2 and MOTOROCKER softwares are some of the non-workin-correctly to me.

what where you doing to get the new bootloader?

Then

- Take a full backup using flash&backup 3.0.6.
- In f&b 3.0.6, goto the 'Firmware' tab, open the backup u took.
- Delete all files except 'RAMDLD'.
- press 'Add' and add the boot.smg file.
- select 'BOOT' from the right drop-down box. On the left box write --> 10000000
- Save the file in shx format and flash it.

its this supposed to fix my bootloader? i didnt give it a shot yet but the problem with my phone is that i cant flash any file to it! idk if after doing all of this i will be able to flash the saved .shx....just that...ill give it a try soon! out of time now! THANX!

i'm having the same problem, except i dont have a bootloader screen i get a white screen when i go into bootloader mode. i cant flash or backup or anything. the phone still phones up correctly just cant flash anything

Same thing for me. White screen and can't flash anything to it. I'm awaiting any advice! Thanks

Im gonna take a quote from a team mate of mine:
WHEN IN DOUBT, TESTPOINT IT OUT.
when you cant flash, and your phone dont work, the ONLY thing that you can do is a TP. Check the bible for guides for that if you need too.

thanx to all of u...i got my white screen on B/L mode too...no solutions yet. I dont think that TP would be the solution for this...what would TP fix? that wouldnt restore my BL to 0A.C3!

There are lots of GOOD guides in the rizr bible section guys, read the bible, read it and pay attention and you will be able to fix your phones, trust me, I use it on an almost daily basis.

OK.............. What MP is everyone running on there phone?

First do a hard tp then reflash the cg18. It sounds like when you all flashed your phones the cg18 did not take. That is where your bootloader and dual boot come from. So try reflashing the cg18!

I never flashed my phone, im not using any modded flash. I modded my phone myself and never touched any CG of it. Im running Argentinian CtiMovil stock flash, so if CG's are the problem here, how it is supposed my B/L changed from "normal" to 02.08? remember! never flashed my phone, I like my stock, modded-by-me flash

ok guys. instead of doubting what people are trying to tell you, read carefully here. you DO need to testpoint. there is no other way to get this done. if you are not on an RSA removed phone and just need standard bootloader 0A.C0 try this.

1. perform a testpoint (there are guides in the bible)
2. verify phone is in blank mode using rsd lite (should say "s blank neptune LTE2")
3. open RAMLDR2 (available in all 3 rsa removal guides)
4. click "send loader" (wait for "done" or "ready")
5. click "write boot"
6. select the file 0AC0.bin (also in the packs)
7. disconnect and reconnect battery
8. verify blank with rsd lite
9. click "send loader" (wait for "done" or "ready")
10. click "write boot"
11. select "startsw.bin"

i believe that should do it. if not, you will need to remove rsa following the entire guide and will then have dualboot when complete.

alternatively you can try flashing this flash file of 0A.C0 after testpointing. but it may leave your phone with a bootloader and no firmware so you would need to flash that too more than likely.
