Moto Z3 original flash files
Hi everyone, I need a big help. I was flashing my Z3 with this "Monster Pack" using "flash&Backup 3.0.6", and the result was a BIOS-like permanent black screen, which says the following:
===========================================
Boot Loader
0a.C0.
SW Version:
R452b_G_08.02.
0CR
PH SIG ERR:
35:02:
OK to Program
USB
Transfer Mode
===========================================
I'm really scared, I didn't make a backup, and I wish I can find the original files to restore my Z3, and I need your help if there is any other way to fix it.
Thanks in advance, great forum.Last edited by KawN; 08-15-2008 at 11:13 AM.

Im guessing you just tried to flash your first MP, so you probably dont have RSA removed, or a modded pds. If thats the case you just need to flash your phone with a compatible MP.
Any of these here should do the trick. But make sure the Boot Loader is the same as yours.
However, if you have modded your phone in any other way (RSA, PDS, etc) post that info here and we can get you the right file.

Ok, I'm downloading "SIMPLY.URS" and yes, it 's my very first modding and I didn't removed that RSA or modded PDS, just changed the slider sounds by replacing them using "m-explorer".
And another question, is there any way to charge the battery?
Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou...
Oh and, how do I check the Boot Loader version?Last edited by KawN; 08-15-2008 at 12:47 PM.

I came under that problem sometime ago too while trying to flash from Stormferd's MP onto a new MP. What I did was flash using this Singaporean Monster Pack and then by flashing the xxSebZeroxx Monster Pack.
With that, I managed to fix my PH:SIG Error problem.
EDIT: Either way though, might be a good idea to hold out and wait for a pro to tell you what to do. Since once I flashed doing that, I had to manually set up my T-Mobile websession & MMS settings again, no hassle, but just don't fret if you can't send or receive MMS since you might have to make a new configuration.Last edited by Xenthor; 08-15-2008 at 01:50 PM.

The last thing I did with my phone was trying to change the Boot Loader ver. in order to remove that RSA. Then I was gonna start RSD lite 4.2 to continue, but the battery happened to need more power.

Did you end up setting your Z3 to "0300 Blank" mode then? Or patching the "Boot_0AC0_Patch" ?
Because, as soon as I set up my Z3 to Blank mode and clicked on "Set Blank from 0300" my screen stayed dark and I went on from there, infact I messed up on one of the removing battery parts and it said "Disconnected" even though I had connected the battery again, RSD Lite was saying it was still Disconnected.. so I just rinse and repeated the whole process and it worked whatsoever.
I'm not sure if you can just go ahead and do RSA Removal when you have the PH: SIG ERROR problem, however that didn't occur to me when I messed up the first time with the RSA Removal tutorial, I just got a black screen. So I just restarted from step 1 and retried. (Although, later on i figured out I didnt need to restart the whole process)
Yeah, the PH SIG ERROR problem though, I ended up solving by flashing both of those MP, it got me back to where I wanted. Then I just went on to do the RSA Removal tutorial.

Yeah, I did set the 0300 blank, but my screen was black since far before... I'm trying to remove RSA now, AFTER I installed this MP, which is made for RSA removed phones. I think that was the little problem, installling the MP without the RSA removed.

It seems your phone is fine, just find a monster pack that IS NOT rsa removed or be for a modded pds and flash it with f&b3. with the information you gave the phone is ready to be flashed.if you do rsa remove then be sure to flash only mp that is rsa removed and flash it in blank mode.
Note: if you haven't already done rsa removal you m ight want to follow this guide,http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87571Last edited by HemiRam; 08-15-2008 at 04:30 PM.

i don't think you'll need to testpoint yet, but this guide also show you how to use a spliced usb cable for power.

This video was a big help, I had already started to wonder if ask to the store guy and say "he buddy, what if I give you $5 and you let me charge my battery here?" hahaha. Now I'm re-flashing my phone, and the battery isn't even plugged in. A big THANK YOU, TO ALL.
I hope my phone will be fine by tomorrow (really hope), by following all your advice.
My phone is back, and fully-operational again (and better than before, I'd say). I followed the battery and USB cable trick (used my wall charger instead) and that "RSA removal tutorial for Dummies", since it installs its own pack, and... got it workin' back. Thank you to all of you who helped me out, now I'm introduced with modding, and I aknowledge 100 times more than yesterday, when my phone was gettin' messed up by myself!
Great great forum, and the nice helping people didn't take long to make their appearance. Thank you all.Last edited by KawN; 08-16-2008 at 12:39 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Glad it all worked out for you. Make sure to get a new charger so you always have a full battery to flash with.
