    Help me with my seem edits!

    I am trying to do the following edit;

    SEEM 00a2_0001

    **all offsets are HEX**

    offset 00 - bit 5: disable AMR Half Rate (1 on, 0 off) (bit 6 must be off)
    bit 6: enable AMR Half Rate (1 on, 0 off) (bit 5 must be off)

    offset 01 - bit 5: disable AMR Full Rate (1 on, 0 off) (bit 6 must be off)
    bit 6: enable AMR Full Rate (1 on, 0 off) (bit 5 must be off)
    I use P2Ktools3 to read the seem, and save it to disk. I then open XVI32 and change the bits and save that to disk (with a different name so I have the original). Then I use P2KTools3 to write the seem to the phone and reboot. When I read the seem from the phone again, save it, open with XVI32, the bits are different from the one I flashed to the phone with P2KTools3. They are not even close.

    I followed the guide here;

    http://www.modmymoto.com/guides/z3/seemediting.php

    Is this normal or there something up

    well, my question would be, why are you changing the SEEM name that you're uploading to the phone? the phone is going to read 00xx not 00xy...so if you're afraid of losing the original file by means of an overwrite, just do Save As 00xx but put it in a different directory

    I should have written my post better. The file I saved I saved as the default name, then coppied it, and then eddited the original file saved to disk.

    In the proccess of flashing the phone several times and reading the seem to see what was going on, after the last reboot the phone screen was white. the only time I could see the screen was when I switched the phone off, for a spilt second I could see the screen. I re-flashed a MP and all is good now.

    Felt my pulse race at that one!!
