I spend last 10 hrs non stop trying to find solution to a simple problem.
I only want to transfer my photos from Z3 to my PC.
That's it.
I downloaded various software that didn't work. At last I stumbled on this site and follow the Sticky Thread: Z3 Guides Section Live
to a new download from moto (Handset_USB_Driver_32_v2.7.6.zip)
and also the p2ktools3.0.3.435.zip as suggested.
Installed first prog - no problem, but when I am trying to install the p2k I get errors- see images.
Sorry to be a pest, but I am totally exhausted and completely stuck.
Looking for some hints/help/suggestion what to do next.
why not transfer them to the sd card first, then put your phone's usb connection setting on memory card, and plug the phone in? then the pc will show you what's on the card...
Try p2k commander if you havent already. otherwise use scottys idea, unless you dont have a memory card so try send things across to your PC using bluetooth
Better yet! No SD no Bluetooth and software CD that I have has some mystery as well. It's the Motorola Phone Tools, but it's NOT detecting my phone, cause my phone it's not on the list - even after the upgrade.
I open my laptop and saw the same software (at least it looks the same) already installed from the same CD (I think) and that one does recognize the Z3 and I can transfer the files. After that I can use network to transfer the photos to my PC. Long way around, but at least I can save them.
Maybe I developed conflict after installing many other softwares for the phone or ? When I connect the Z3 the PC is trying to recognize it , but that's it. It doesn't connect.
Any suggestions? Should I delete everything, cleanup registry (what exactly)?
Should I buy Bluetooth card or dong or?
