I have a question/problem. My Z3 restarts itself time to time, some times when playing a java game, sometimes when watching videos, pics, etc. Its not constant either regular, is sporadic.
I have the las MP from The Lax Playa. Does anyone have this problem?
did u have this problem with any other one?? this is really weird because this is the first time this has happend...try to leave your battery out for 10-20 mins and then put it back in and turn it on

im agree with the laxplaya.... i got his ultimate MP-.. and it works Perfectly for meee..! try the above.. or try flashing a stock firmware... and then the MP!
Probably hardware problem. My first Z3 did the same thing. Rebooting itself from time to time.... It is first batch I got from ebay ( Tmobile is not release yet by that time....) I believe it is a Europe unit.... Tried 10+ MPs still the same. Send to Moto Service Center and they return to me ...( said it is from the region not covered in US, I though Moto is a global company. )
Finally spend $$ to get another T-mobile unit from ebay. This time works perfect..... No more crash ....
I have flashed another MP and stills the same, sometimes reboots itself, is more frequently when connected to data cable with p2k tool. I removed the battery for a while and stills the same.
Maybe as you say it has a hardware problem. I have not tried the original firmware, I couldnīt find it, Iīll thank you if you post the link for the stock firmware. Iīll try this and post the results. This phone is new in Mexico, from the company Movistar, I donīt know if its a first batch, but I know that this phone have been in global market for a while.
i have a problem somwhat like this my rizr straight out of the box no moding at all sometimes reboots itself too mostly when i try accesing any java or multimedia (mostly when watching videos and listining music) it makes a horrible staticy sound and the screen turns white and it restarts even after i put a new mp on .. i have no clue y
My screen goes blank at random times. Sometimes as soon as I get done making a call, but usually when I get done using an application and close the phone. It started a couple weeks ago. I have had laxplayer7's on my phone for months now, and flashed Seb's new mp and still having issue. I guess I will try the original mp (Indonesia, I think...) and go from there. I don't think it is software related at this point, unless the boot loader has something to do with it. Is that the only thing that doesn't get replaced when you flash an mp? I will keep you updated.
It was the memory card.
Right before this started happening, I loaded a three-disc album on my phone by synching with Windows Media Player. I then renamed the files or something along those lines, not sure exactly what it was, and ever since, I had the problem. I think there may be something to unsupported characters on a piece of hardware, or even editing a filename could possible throw a spanner in the works....anyway, after reformatting the card, it hasn't had a problem for two days.

my friend has this problem too when he first bought his Z3. he never modified it but it constantly restarting. i told him to remove the symbols in his phonebook names and delete some messages with lots of symbols. (by the way, the sim he used was from his nokia phone before). it did work for him.
So I've had the same problem lately and it was after I loaded the three disc 'everything under the sun' album by sublime that one of the songs titles was to long and changed its name to "1~mmm" and that tilda is what was doing it. After renaming that song everything is good as gold
