[Guide] Fixing -PH SIG ERR-
I haven´t tried it becuase my phone is OK.
But it works!!... just read the posts
And read at the very end of this Guide... give it a try!
Spanish version
- The phone won´t start up.
- It only does it in bootloader mode.
- The screen is showing PH SIG ERR.
Fixing it...
Note: when I say Wait untill is Ready,
It is assumed that a message will show up.
1. Remove the SD and SIM card.
2. Use MSTools to do a Soft/Fake TestPoint. If you want to confirm, open RSD Lite and check if your phone is recognized as S Blank Neptune LTE2
(Attention: Don´t get desperate, after doing the Soft TestPoint the screen will go black and you might think it´s dead but don´t worry... it´s just sleeping.)
3. Now open Ramldr2 and press the Send Loader button. Wait untill message "Ready" appears.
4. Press the Write Boot button, select the Boot_0AC0_patch file and wait untill you phone gets detached (Not Connected). After that, your phone will be in Blank mode.
5. Remove the battery and put it back.
6. Open Flash&Backup3 and flash the Revive dead flash with RSA & PDS patch file.
7. Remove the battery and put it back.
8. Open Ramldr2 again, press the Send Loader button and wait untill it´s Ready. Now press the Write PDS button and select the PDS_Z3 file. After that, your phone will get detached (Not Connected), you can close the program.
9. Remove the battery and put it back.
10. Open Ramldr2 again and press the Send Loader button, wait untill it´s Ready. Now press the Write Boot button and select the Boot_Start_SW file. After that, your phone will get detached (Not Connected), close the program.
11. Now you can Unplug the phone, remove the USB cable.
Note: according to the creator of this guide, you will have to be in Blank mode if you want to flash your phone again.

Warning! (By aneotoena)
Using that files you get no dualboot.
And if you get no dualboot then you need to do real TP to flash the phone again.
Files need to be modified.
Thank you for the warning

i have a question vitrubio..in step 10..u say to do this..
and then u say this on the note..10. Open Ramldr2 again and press the Send Loader button, wait untill it´s Ready. Now press the Write Boot button and select the Boot_Start_SW file. After that, your phone will get detached (Not Connected), close the program.
so my question is if someone flashes the START_SW.bin file the phone will NOT be in blank mode it will be in flash which will probably give a WSOD...and have to do th TP like aneotoena suggests... so i think u have to flash the FWs BEFORE writing the START_SW.BINNote: according to the creator of this guide, you will have to be in Blank mode if you want to flash your phone again.
dont u agree??

thx for the guide..

i think the creator mean.. if someone want to flash someday after Revive the phone.. and maybe its like my other z3,when i've succesfully revive it,i must flash CG2,cg4 n cg15 in blank mode...(after write Boot_0AC0_patch.bin) .if i flash in normal bootloader,i get Critical error b75f. So i think that is he mean...but its just my opinion

playing with my k1 brick...
So my k1 survived a full wash in the washing machine... For real! how amazing is it that this thing still worked?!
Anyway, I bricked it... (Ph sig err) nothing was working so I tried this technique... It worked!!
Now I just need to fix the PDS since it's upside down : ) I'll be sure to post results in the k1 forum but the main thing is THANK YOU!

I fixed my Sig errors everytime with the Motorola Software Update tool. But could just be my phone. It had the newest T-Mobile Firmware on it.
