Probably he said you HAVE to make a Test Point if you want to recover your phone. You have a very good video here, but watch out with the screws. :P They are very sensitive.
I've just dissasambled my phone, and , wow, my motherboard is different...I don't see the 2 gold pins.
LaterEdit: My bad, the motherboard is the same, the image made my a little dizzy . I found the golden pin, but I don't get it recognized by the computer. I hope it will work after more tries. I get USB Device not recognized.
IT WORKS
. Very cool. Many thanks for this video.

It's just trial and error, as said before the 1st TP is always a pain to do, but you will soon get the hang of it.

Devices available:
HTC Hero|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: Hero-Deck 2.3.7 by Bharat_goku Fastest and most stable (for me anyway) AOSP GB Rom
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: GingerDX V020
ZTE Race|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: CyanogenMod 7
Samsung Galaxy S i9000| Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: OneCosmic's ICS Port RC3.1

Just a heads up to anyone who needs to do this... I used the following:
Radio Shack Mini Hook Clips
Item# 270-372
Kobalt 8 N 1 Torx Mini Set (came with T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9, T10 and T15 bits)
Lowes Hardware
Item# 239384
Picked up both for like 7 dollars total - talk about cheap.
Old Printer USB cable - snipped off and used the red/black - with the Mini Hook Clips you just need to clip it on to the battery contacts and place the wire into the hooking area - really easy.
THANKS for the video - you just saved my Z3
Repped.

Alright everybody keeps saying that if you brick ur Z3 do a Testpoint and i have successfully but i still cant get it to turn on it just keeps flashing white.. i have tried flashing it in blank mode but i get an error.. idk what im doing wrong?!
- 11-13-2009, 06:32 AM #30
What did you do to get to that point? Did you flash an mp? If so, which one? The more info you provide, the better. Also, feel free to start your own thread as this one is about testpoint procedure and the video, so are more likely to receive help in a new thread.
