well today i was playing on youtube and i saw the modded v3xx and i really want make it cool but i need a lot please explain it to me like im 2 yrs old and a question what is flex and how do you get it on the phone please help thanks this has explained a lot but it is like reading a different language so help please thanks

The flex contains all your personal data, Pictures. Music, Messages etc, To change (or restore) it you need Either Flashbackup (downloads)
Or RSD (unable to choose Code Groups and is warez)

ok well i tried to click the sign and it says it cant find the site ok will i download everything on the computer and the put it on my phone if so what do i do first i mean you prolly think i am stupid but i have never done this kinda of stuff but i would like to learn so thanks being helpful talk to you later

Julant, thanks for the help but I did poke around the FAQ and googled for about an hour as well trying to find ways to mod this version of the Razr. It won't connect because it installs the drivers to hook it up to the computer automatically. It wont let me install them manually as the "getting connected" guide tells me to. So with that, I can't find a way to load the drivers to the phone so that I can connect to it using RSD Lite or P2kTools. Trust me I've tried, lol.

Infact, I found that if I start RSD Lite while my phone is hooked up, even though the cable is connected.. the phone will automatically disconnect itself from the computer.. I can't even see that its hooked up like I normally can. It happens If i plug the phone in after i start RSD Lite, or If I start RSD Lite after the phone is already plugged in. It doesn't do that for P2K, but P2K wont recognize it and I have no idea on how to get it to..
anyone who can help send me a message!

not to mention the help you tried to give didn't work, I tried it as well, and the same things happen.. It wont give me a chance to load the hardware manually... and for the "V3X getting connected" part the Motorola Drivers Installer doesnt even load up when i connect the phone...
It looks like Motorola got mad and started to try and prevent modders...

Same thing here, new phone, got it yesterday.

Can't install drivers manually, pulling my hair out.

Turning on in service or flash mode has been mentioned, but with no advice.

I usually mod se phones, motos seem to be a bitch. LOL. No pun intended.

Noob alert: how and where do i upload skiman to via bluetooth. NOT usb?

I don't think you can use skiman from bluetooth, but you cna upload skins manually using P2K Tools VS via bluetooth, upload them to a/mobile/skins/[skin folder no brackets]

Hi, I have just purchased a new RAZR V3xx phone, and I'm trying to mess with the JAVA software. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get MotoMidMan to access the phone. It says that it is an "unsupported platform." I tried editing the .ini file to include R26111MLD in the line indicated. I tried adding -AS to that. I looked on my phone's firmware. In the Flex Version view, I see the following:

I tried entering the second line in place of the other firmware versions, as well as putting the MLD suffix on, an -AS suffix, and even MLD-AS as a suffix. Still, no dice. I am wondering if, one, I'm doing the right thing, and if, two, the software is too old to work on this phone.

Ok... I'm very new at this but am trying to create my own skins. I have Skinner4Moto (S4M) and RSD and have few problems getting skins on my v3xx. The problem is that I want to do my own skins. I don't really need all the fancy graphics but I want to work with the colors and reposition the text. S4M does not seem to have a module for the V3xx on their web site. The V3 and V3i modules have 176x220 jpgs in them. I actually modified a V3xx skin that I put on the pone (Colorful Day, which I downloaded from here) but what I see in the preview screen in S4M is not how it turns out on the phone. Text boxes appear centered in S4M, but shifted left on the phone. Obviously you guys have done this or there wouldn't be such great looking skins posted here. I checked FAQs and Guides, but could not find anything to address my issue. Can someone please let me in on how to get what I see in S4M to match what shows up on my V3xx?

(I also have an issue where p2kcommander and Skiman tell me I'm out of memory on the phone when I try to load skins but I'll do more reading on that before asking questions.)

I dont know much about modifying skins, i only know how to resize gifs and stuff, the real basic, other than that i cant really help you, you would get better support if you ask in the skinning forum

After using test point (I didn't use smart clip) I tried to flash the v3xx with rsd lite v4.1 then at the end a message pop-up saying something like "error get security...." (sorry I can't remenber the rest) then the phone switched off and never turned back on again since!?!?

I try to put to charge = nothing, try to connect to pc = nothing,

power-on or * + # + power-on = nothing, tried to use test point again but nothing works the phone is completely dead.



Any clues??



I'm wondering if I burnt something because this is such a small thing that I'm not sure if I didn't touch any of the other points near the test point causing a short circuit. I don't know much about this so I don't know if a short circuit could have actualy happened touching nearby points...

I didn't do anything else.

Could it be burnt or is it just some software corruption?

Should I use some kind of special tool like "smart clip" or something to revive it?



If anyone has a solution to revive this phone pleeeeease post it.

i have a locked cingular v3xx i would like to unlock ,flash and flex to the latest and greatest? how do I make it quad band gsm? i have rsd lite 4.2 and flash and backup 3.7 i cant get pktools working with my 64bit vista. sorry for the newb question, thanks.
