Has Anyone Tried the Sugar Cube Debranding Trick on a RAZR
I just got a graphite RAZR V3xx which has the cingular logo printed on the back pattery cover plate. It would be nice if it wasn't there but I don't care enough to risk knowingly scratching up the face. Has anyone tried this? Results?

the sugar cube works amazingly! I used one on my old L6 to remove T-Mobile off the back and it did it flawlessly.

it just occured to me that there is silk screened printing and the same paint on the back side of the battery cover plate, so I'll be able to try this out with no risk.

I Know this trick well and it works for most surface printed branding. UK Huthcinson (3) decided to engrave it in the battery covers paint so i would have to sand it off and then respray it.. Doh !!!.. i AM STILL ON THE HUNT FOR A V3xx BATTERY COVER THOUGH. oOOpS SORRY FOR SHOUTING.

DO NOT SUGAR THE CINGULAR OFF THE BACK OF BATTERY PLATE!!!!!!
even though it is engraved the sugar WILL scratch the plasic finish.... the sugar trick does work on branding that is on the softer plastic that is used for the screens... like the TREO... it usually says .T. Mobile on the bottom corner on the screens outer touchable plasic which is much softer than the body's plastic and is painted ON it not in it. so the sugar can easily remove the brand.
Pleas do not screw up ur own fone. i almost did mine but i tested on an older moto that was dead. (sorry for the shouting but i didnt want anyone to make a mistake)

It's painted on the alloy battery door, but it might still scratch.

Like I said, perhaps not eloquently, in a previous post... If you remove the battery plate, you will find similar printing and paint (pics showing how to reattach the cover) on the inside face of the cover so you can test it out and risk no visible damage.
