Need help with v3xx

I am very new to phone modding so I am sorry if I am repeating an old topic. I have a cingular v3xx and a computer running Vista 32 bit. P2kcomander always dies on startup and so does any other program I try to use. Can someone provide me with a very basic, step by step, starting from the begaining, guide to modding my phone?

I'm not sure if P2k commander works on vista, have you tried on XP?

also:
at the top of your web windo, right under MODMYMOTO your premiere modding community, there is a black TOOLBAR. you will find the guides as well as the downloads, search and other helpful info. when you click guides, on the upper left - chose your phone, you want to go with the maxx v6 (includes the v3xx)

happy modding and good luck connecting..PS i use XP with SP1 and love this setup. if i get a new comp with vista, i might not mod on it but this isnt the case with everyone and you CAN connect on Vista
