Hey, as the tag says, sorry but Im a total newb. I followed http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149981 and did everything correctly with Moto MIDlets Manager, but when I plugged in my phone it needed a driver (Im assuming thats why MMM couldnt connect to phone). So I googled and found a driver "P2K_drivers.zip", 43kb. It installed the phone (if I run devmgmt.msc it comes up as Motorola USB Modem), but MMM still wont find the phone. Again, sorry for being such a newb, but Id love some help on this one! Thanks!
That 43Kb drivers are quite old and useless, you need to download and install True and newest drivers from developer.motorola.com
Once you install them, mmm should connect to your phone.
Btw, you don't need any driver if you want to install java applications to phone. Just connect it at memory device mode and wait for windows to recognize it as an external drive. Then browse, mobile/kjava folder (it's hidden system folder), copy your *.jar setup files into that folder. Pull off the cable and install your application from phone main menu / games&apps/ install new.
Wow! You are so freakin awesome, LOL! I DLed the new driver, and MM gave me some error still about an unsupported platform, so then I tried the other thing you said about the hidden kjava folder and just dropping them in and Presto! HOOAH! Thank you man.miss!
Question though, some of the games from MobileRated try to connect to the net at startup, and I dont have internet, so theyre not working... is there a way to tell/list of games that dont need net, or is there a way to get around this? THANKS SO MUCH! HOOAH!
OIC.... thanks for helping me out so much, just (I think!) one last question?... I don't have internet, right? But I want to be able to save certain sites (i.e., on my computer) and then xfer them over to my phone. Is there somewhere I can put them that Id be able to access them with my phone even though I don't have the net? Thanx a million, really!
Basically, if someone that does have internet and has saved a page (made available offline) knows which folder it saves into, thats all the info I need please. Thanks!
Well I dont think u can save a page (made available offline) on ur phone. I didn't see an option to save a internet page on my built in browser. All u can do is save the URL. I know u can save a page on ur computer but not sure if u put it on ur phone memory or SD card, the phone will recognize it.
oic.... guess ill just haev to take .gifs of the site on my phone, or something like that.... once again, ty everyone for bearing with me adn for all your help! HOOAH!
