How to change bands?

Mom send her old ATT phone to me, Russia. Carrier here is MTS. I contacted ATT and got carrier unlock code, and unlocked it, but says no service, even after master reset. I guess wrong band.

This is strange because previous razr v3xx from ATT unlocked and worked well, it was black razr v3xx, this one is gold.

What to do to make it work?


Bands needed are same as on samsung blackjack 1.

Hi,

Go to network settings and set it to GSM mode. AT&T v3xx doesn't have 2100mhz band, maybe phone is trying to connect to 3g bands.

Is there any liability to register an imported phones' imei to Russian telecom database ? If yes, that might be the case,too.
