I recommend to use Random's Language Editor.

I have searched here and online and I can't find anything. There is a link on 4 Shared, but the file is no longer available.

He probably used a dnp.prf file.

But if you really know what's what in a 3G drm CG15 , the operator code starts at Hex offset 16 and ends at offset 17.

The four-digit Operator code found at these offsets corresponds to the text string ID's found in the Language Pack CG4.

You can customize the Operator text by either changing the four digit Operator code found in the CG15 to display a different ID string, or by changing the actual text strings found in the Language Pack CG4.

    LP Text ID ------ Operator

    23AC ------ H3G
    23A5 ------ TIM
    1975 ------ Orange
    2404 ------ Cingular or AT&T
    1395 ------ Vodafone
    1396 ------ Generic
    23B9 ------ Telefonica
    1716 ------ T-Mobile
    2959 ------ DoCoMo

hey guys: most of you more than likely know this, but to change alpha tag, download plmn_text table.bin and open with alpha tag editor (in D/L section) and find your network (for example mines 310-260 [T-mobile]) and just rename it to what you want then re-upload then restart.

This thread is not to change the alpha tag but the operator shown in other information area.

    Hello.
Try to change the actual text string. May it work? May be there is a dnp.prf file is used.
I searched but I could not find it. May it display like that.

@shackpole: you can use Random's Lang Editor, and replace via dnp.prf the string name, with whatever you like.
(as long as you have activated the dynamic prompts)
