Question GPS alternatives for the QA1 Karma?

I've tried several different GPS apps on my QA1 Karma but have had absolutely no luck in getting any of them to work. Haven't tried the built-in apps yet (Where & Navigator) as I haven't heard much good about them. So far I've tried GPS Watch-Plus, Veripath Navigator, A Little Planet, GMAPS, Locify, and several others that I've forgotten. For most of these, I'm either told that the phone is not GPS-equiped, that GPS is disabled, or the program indicates that I'm located somewhere over the Atlantic (I'm in Ohio). I've tried these programs with the phone as-is and "uncrippled" but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

So, are at&t's Where and Navigator my only options or am I doing something wrong? Are Where and Navigator the best I can get? Any recommendations on another GPS app?

    Thanks!

Sorry, you suggest that I try what, Where, at&t's Navigator, or another program? If the two, pre-loaded apps are the best that are available for the Karma, that's fine but I'm just looking for other options.

Those gps java apps aren't working cause they don't have enough permissions to operate correctly. There's a guide available that might help you.

Thanks for responding, seems like that's exactly what I need! However, looking into getting the developer certificate, it looks like Motorola is pushing people to drop Java ME for Android, http://community.developer.motorola....ficate/m-p/757

So, would 'Java Verified' be the best alternative (http://javaverified.com/why_test_and_sign) to getting the developer certificate? Btw, not a modder myself so all help & patience is much appreciated

Yeah, more or less what I was thinking, although there was also a bit of this . Can't believe that they have so many products still out there, on the market and in use, but are dropping Java. Beginning to dislike this phone. . .

Anyway, thanks for the help and maybe I'll try to become Java-Verfied!
