SBFRecalc by Meiner Einer
Hello.
"Meiner Einer" has got himself an Android Motorola now. So he will keep on working on his Recalc program, to keep it up to date.
Any news about it, I will translate for him here in this thread.Last edited by Dumba; 03-04-2010 at 03:23 PM.

no offense, i guess this is before i started viewing this forum, but who is this? and what is this? im guessing, from what i read on the last couple pages, that moto phones have their shx files, and they are the base of the phone, basically the base firmware, then the roms we flash are just over top of it? so would this allow easier modding of things like the radio or what? im sorry, not really familiar. just looking for the lamans wording of this and what it does exactly.

To make the answer simple. The Motorola Superfile, or .shx format, holds a lot of different code groups. Now it is fairly easy to take the file apart, but after modification, it needs recalculation of the checksum.
Most people who used to mod the older models, used the SBFRecalc program, but if the Programmer wasn't keeping it up to date, it would be useless for all newer models. Luckily this one kept his interrest, and keeps it going,
