You can flash it, but mbmloader error.

Because it is signed. For yaffs2 images, use nandroid.

Well, if you flash system from SBF, it will have to have valid sigature, so moreless not possible.

Hi Skrilax,

I have this sbf file: SHOLS_U2_01.14.0_UCASHLSEMEAB1B803F.0R_USASHLS00RT HKSG_P007_A004_HWp2a_Service1FF.sbf
I want to:
1. Extract only the kernel (2.6.29-omap1 rkg683@ca25rhe76 #1)
2. Flash this extracted kernel to my Milestone which is currently running android 2.1 (SHOLS_U2_02.31.0_UCASHLSMR2EMEAB1B805C.0R_PDS003_ USASHLS00RTINT_P012_A011_HWp2a_Service1FF.sbf)
Pls help me how to. Thanks

how can i extract the radio image? it does not detect my phone.

I have tried to unpack a Ruth (Flipout) sbf, and could only get the *CG*.smg files, but I couldn't unpack them to *.mbn files.

I noticed that the Ruth isn't stated in the supported phones. Is it the reason?

Is there any place where the theory of sbf/smg/mbn files is explained, and/or some scripts to extract them manually?

the first is kept at 320x resolution to display on the phones, and the bigger ones a fullsize crop with the quality turned down so its not a bandwidth hog.

any one can tell me how to get keyboard system file for backflip from sbf rom i need the keylayout located in/ system/usr/ because mine is european running a US qzerty rom.
I don t knoz how to extract system.mbn zith depacker. thx for help.

Updated to 1.3. Added support for Tegra based phones / tablets (Atrix, Xoom, etc.)
