can someone help me I'm trying to replace my damaged build.prop with a backup but I'm getting the error
E:syntax error in update script

here is my update-script code:

show_progress 0.1 0
copy_dir PACKAGE:system SYSTEM:
show_progress 0.1 10

I'm a noob at this so I don't know what's wrong

Ah, I forgot Daywalker wears golden boots, a flowing cape and a big "S" on his chest.

Since that phone is intended for the Asian market, you will probably not find much information for it yet on this side of the globe. You can try to root it with SuperOneClick ([APP]SuperOneClick v2.3.3 - Motorola Exploit Added! - xda-developers) - it works for the Milestone; perhaps the XT532 as well. That would give you more access to the files and delete whatever apk's you may not be able to delete otherwise. Of course it is easy to brick your phone this way, but at least you should (hopefully) be able to restore it with the stock rom, and start over.

I just wonder about the memory limits. I figured out I guess: ROM=512Mb, Free memory=160Mb so 350Mb is used by Android.
Of 160Mb, 95Mb is used by apps. I can remove them as long as they are not crucial for the functioning of the phone.
I will do some trial and error (and restore) if I have some free time.
