When I do that, i get /sbin/sh: pm: not found??
Idk, am i doing somehting wrong. I typed in adb uninstall \system\app\HTCSetupWizard.apk to no avail?? Does the directions of the slashes make any difference here. I know normally it is a backslash, so i did that first, but the post has forward slashes, so i tryed that also.

I tryed this in recovery mode and at the htc logo. When i try to uninstall in recover mode it gives me thie first error, and at the htc log it gives me "Error: Could not access the Package Manager. Is the system Running?

multi touch in the browser isnt useless, it makes it much easier for zooming in and out. now multitouh keybard is ehh..... but multi touch for the browser is SO much nicer. he has a point though. a2sd is completely useless and a waste of time imo but its not my time, so whatever. i think its just bc it became the norm to do on the g1/mt bc it lacked memory. i have 1000x more apps on this than i did on my mt and im not ne where near as close as i was with my my touch.

with eugene bricking and barak being MIA for a min, kmobs being back in school and not having as much time, deezy seems to focusing alittle more time back on his girl (cant blame u man), i am starting to regret trading my my touch. i might start to look for someone to trade a fender mt and cash for the cliq or just a reg mt.

I feel you there. I'm probably gonna end up waiting for a stock SHX of the new radio version and then unroot and sell for a myTouch1.2 haha

ohh wow. just realized u flashed the new radio rom. stinks for u
fortunatly i didnt so i can still unroot via old shx.

kmobs and i were talking the other day btw if the new radio might make the hero rom alittle more compatable........ idk. why were people bricking with 1.3.8? incompatable kernal/radio combo, or the radio switching back? if he could grab the radio and get an upgraded .zip i wonder if it would fly........ im not telling you to flash, i dont know as much as these guys or i would be on this from time im off till i was asleep and at lunch at work even. just wondering what ne one else thinks.

just an fyi i would have/would try this myself, but i dont wanna flash to 1.3.8 and then not be able to unroot. if i had already flashed new radio i would jump up on it.

People were bricking because of the radio incompatibility yeah.

I suppose I could sell my phone as is, like any average user would even know it's rooted. Of course, that'd be mean to do 'cause they'd never get any updates haha.

lol this is why I'm giving my CLIQ to my girl and bought the Nexus One. Can't wait till Monday!

It said no such directory. I did type it in with correct spelling, no offence, just making sure everybody knew. Thx

When should i delete the file? do i unzip it 1st and delete it or flash it on my phone and then delete it? im not sure.. <--noob =/ help.

Flash, boot up, connect via ADB, then remove through ADB while booted up. I believe it says that in the first post

Thanks for taking control of the thread art010606 and Stevenjcarney. I've literally been studying all day today.

And yeah guys, I don't think A2SD is really needed, but its not something that you have to enable if you don't want to. I'm not going to be implementing a2sd on this rom at first, but instead I'm going to take it and work with kb7sqi to implement it in his rom.

As for hero... I'm hoping to get a Motorola Devour dump soon so I can port it to the CLIQ. The devour has 1.6 as well as motoblur so that should be nice to have

Anyway, I'm sorry I haven't been able to put that much time in, but I'm doing what I can. My ideas come in bursts... so while I wait I find other things to keep me busy (porting Swype, working on A2SD). But Hero is definitely the project that I want working flawlessly more than any other one. I played around with a couple other things a couple days ago, but there was no luck there.

But yeah, definitely follow me on twitter.
