I just use TetherBot, you still have to use your USB cable and ADB to get the socks proxy going. With socks though I can route any traffic through it. Great for playing games through a corporate firewall.

engineeringw4r....how would I go about updating the kernel and would I have to do a wipe to implement this into the kernel, as I would love to get WiFi Tether to work for my cliq, as I run a business with multiple computers hooked up to the WiFi, and wont be able to use PDAnet soon as I dont want to pay the 29$ and I need the HTTPS to process credit cards through a virtual terminal

Sorry to be such an ass but because if I understand correctly, you are running a business that accepts credit cards yet refuse to pay the reasonable $29 for a working solution and instead want someone (for free) to spend hours and hours to find a solution so that you yourself can sell something.
I'm finding it ironic that you are trying to avoid paying a business $29 so that you can run your own business and accept money.
