in the beginning of this post i read to flash rom, then adb in and remove apps you dont want. any reason why i cant just remove them before i flash and resign the zip file. this is how i do it on my g1, doing this on my gf's cliq (that sounds dirty, lol). didnt think it would matter but wanted to make sure doing it this way wont affect the zip align process or anything else...

I'll be the first to say, if you know how to unzip/zip/re-sign the rom, then yeah that's what I'd do! lol
I've never liked flashing something & then using adb to remove/install stuff, but on the other hand, it starts getting old w/ "can you add this back in?" or "can you remove this?" I don't mean anything bad by that either. It's just that everyone has their own opinion on what's the perfect build. I try to keep it mostly stock w/ a much better kernel, a few extra apk's & a more upto date command line tools. It's hard to find that perfect balance for everyone.
That's why I stated that about just using adb to remove/install what you like before booting it up. Take care.

I was just wondering before I flash this, does it still have moto blur?
- 02-22-2010, 08:53 PM #276
yes, there are no blur-less roms yet; none that are stable or fully ported at least.

Update to 1.3.18
I have kb7sqi 1.0.5.3 flashed on my rooted Spanish Dext and now the phone ask me to update from Motorola to 1.3.18. Can I install the update?. Root will be lost?
Ty.

Same happends to me since this morning. The update notification is poping up from time to lame. I'm running TheDudes 0.4.1 (base on 1.1.31).
Yes, root will be lost if you install it. Be carefull also that this new update flashes a new radio.
Read http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/show....php?p=3902201 for info regarding kb7sqi 1.3.18 ROM (rooted). Be carefull about the steps to follow though, read page 10 2 posts from kb7sqi himself explaining a bit more. To sum up, you need to install 1.3.8.1 which flashed the new radio, then install the new recovery Amon_RA 1.5.2.1, then flash kb7sqi 1.3.18.
There is also another ROM, Handler 1.3 that brings the new radio also (base on 1.3.18), here http://modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=526616.
I'm a bit concern myself about flashing the new radio because I'm not 100% sure that it will work in Spain correctly. Thinking about it I think it should, because the US Cliq (MB200) is an international GSM phone, so after the 1.3.18 radio update it should still work around the world (and in Spain also I mean), but I couldn't find anyone who would confirm this yet. I mean, if you flash it, please tell if it works!Download my 1-click Recovery Flasher to flash a custom or stock recovery to your phone: Cliq, CliqXT, Backflip, ...

I have MB200 of T-mobile Usa. My phone updated room android 2.1 of t-mobile. I'm newbie.I need multi touch. Plz help me update my phone step to step. Thank you very much

chinhtran. Basically you are going to root the phone, flash a custom recovery, do a backup, then flash a rom that has multitouch (I'd read the disclaimers about multitouch before you dive right in). Please search the forums for instructions, there's plenty of of "How To" threads on this.
Edit: This is an old thread and no longer supported by kb7sqi. Thread closed.Last edited by sublime1184; 02-25-2011 at 07:02 AM.
