you know what? uh-uh. i'm ALSO very tired of broken promises, broken release dates, and the agonizing waiting for vanilla roms and hero ports. i'm so fed up i could pull my hair out. i can't believe how stupidly long this is taking. i could rant all freaking day about how unfair it is that i have this phone and want someone to finish their FREE WORK FASTER.

you know what i did, though? i didn't get online and start critizing devs for their inconsistent updates.

i got so fed up with all this checking, and double checking, and being agg'd about no updates...

that i added persiansown and barakinflorida on twitter. i bookmarked the forums where updates do happen. i read up on the work that IS being done and why it's taking so long.

i freaking donated to persiansown to buy a cliq so he'd hurry the hell up and finish his pulse and hero ports. (better late than never, bro, sorry!)

i got so freakin tired of being jerked around that i actually CONTRIBUTED to the community of guys putting real work in.

i don't know jack about coding, i couldn't explain to you the difference between the failing RILD and locked libs. i couldn't even begin to rationalize how much work it takes to shave blur off of a camel's rear end.

but i DEFINITELY didn't start ticking people off.

mafian: why are you? if you want results you can learn to port roms yourself or at least throw a hand in. these guys don't need this kind of thing. they NEED people to show some respect. you'd ask for the same thing if you were them. chill out dude.

I have been visiting this site since a few days after I got my Cliq. Coming from the G1, I was desperate to find a solid website for modding and discussion. I am not a developer, but I do enjoy reading all of what has been discussed all over this site.

Up until now I just been a lurker, with no input for anyone.

stellarvelocity, I just wanted you to know that I finally registered just to be able to say thank you for this post. You are 100%, spot on right. You attitude, as well as those of the modders and coders, is what makes these communities so great and enjoyable.

Well done all of you modders. I haven't actually rooted my Cliq yet, as I don't want any more frustration, or feel the need until some more stuff gets ironed out. But, you efforts are going to pay off. I have no problems waiting. Even when 2.x comes out, and then I will wait some more.

Please keep in mind though that the sooner you root the better. You never know when motorola will send out an update that will rule the current exploit out of the question.

I´m looking for the 2.6.27 stock kernel for 1.5... need back my DEXT to stock mode to send to warranty service.

If the Firmwares Superthread has your .sbf for your Dext you can flash it and it will revert everything to stock.

Indeed... and I got that.. but the problem is... I need keep my operator customized feautures (some widgets and others)... I got a STOCK CLARO ROM already and applied. Running the 1.5 but with the 2.1 kernel.

I won't be able to go back to the 1.5 stock Kernel because I will have the Date problem (stucked at year 1969)

But [MENTION=3081367]adlx[/MENTION] is helping with that.

I will apply a fake kernel that is actualy the stock kernel for 2.1 but it will "show" in about phone the same number for the stock kernel for 1.5!

The most dificult thing was the CLARO SOFTWARE.. and I got it... just waiting to flash the fake kernel and flash the stock recovery, unroot and send my mb200 to service...

Hi ! I just update my radio from 5012 to 5025, and i get the date problem.
My Kernel is 2.6.27 (e2017c@ca25rhe75#1 )
Is this update right for me ? will it solve my date problem?
And how do I install the new kernel?
