Thread: overclocking cliq
- 02-08-2011, 11:36 PM #286
The difference is in the amount of time the cpu is screaming at wide open. My cliq, for example, won't take 748 even on demand...it will still soft reboot every now and again. If you crank it down just that little bit, it can put an end to the soft reboots, and save a little life of the battery and the device overall. Besides that, you wont even notice the difference in the 20 MHz change.

Currently running CM4Morrison Beta-3 (CyanogenMOD 6.2)on my Cliq at 730mhz. It's running pretty smoothly so far.
[ROM] CM4Morrison - CyanogenMod 6.2 RC0
---OverclockWidget Settings---
Screen Off:
123mhz Min
320mhz Max
Screen On:
123mhz Min

Is there a patch to add overclock capability to any ROM?

Latest ROMS (most of them) include OC. If you are looking for more power well, you are basically alone as the CLIQ in 748MHZ reboots, and heats to a certain level that everything will damage. But like I said most of thelatest ROMS include OC.

Well, the ROM I'm using(CliqHero) doesn't include OC, is there a way to include it myself?
