it could also be me, but I have 3G and my loading html pages takes a long time. They do fully load, but they take too much time for 3g in my opinion. hope this is fixed in next FW release. I'm using handler 1.2 no other probs.

@Darksurf I had problems with 3G here in the states wiith the cliq, I'd get maybe twice the speed of EDGE, and 3G is supposed to be quite a bit faster. I'm running 2.1 now and It's actually not so bad, a little faster then what I had with 1.5.
@mymomma8 I'm sure the Cliq would support HTML5 since it's the browsers that support it and when HTML5 starts being the mainstream the browsers will be updated to support it. It's not like Flash, which is a plugin that you have to install. It's just a programming language(Albeit, a simple one that even pre-teenies can use to make their myspace pages slow to a crawl) hahha

Hahahahhahahaha
Technically yes it's released. But the drivers for the Cliq are closed source, hence the reason no 2.1 on Cliq

Browsers already support it per say. It depends on how the website is coded as HTML5 allows backward compatibility. You can have a browser that is 10 years old, and the website should load properly for the most part. That's one of the benefits of HTML5, and it does it better than HTML4.

I dunno if you'd be able to have a browser thats 10 years old... I don't wanna try to use Netscape 1.1 to do all the browsing I do in Chrome.
But yes, nice point. I'm kinda just like eh, Flash works, why fix what isn't broken. And then there's all this drama with Apple and Adobe about Flash vs. HTML5. Why can't we all just settle on one thing that's open source and be happy?

eh, it was just an example lol. honestly flash has security flaws, eats up resources, and if you open 2-3 pages that has flash and a video you will notice how much resources it actually eats up. Not to mention 1/4 times it'll crash when I do that.
I could do the same thing written with HTML5 with my current browser and it works so much faster, and i never crash.
I wouldn't mind Flash as much if it didn't eat so much resources

So true. That's why I stopped sitting on MySpace. *shudders* so much flash crap on that site it's not funny.
