Probably a stupid question. But after having the original rom, then rooting, and now back to newest 1.3.18 I dont know which radio I have.
any help would be great.

thanks, so can I root?
Thats the same version that is on my phone.
Next question. So does that mean I have the updated radio and Im stuck unrooted. Or can I go ahead and root without bricking my phone. If so who's rom can I use.
Sorry , but all the stuff Ive read just refers to the "latest or updated radio" but doesnt actually give me a version number to compare to.
Thanks again.

Radio.img consists of several partitions. One of them being the oemsbl; the bootloader. I'd consider as the version you might want to hear (currently available 04.CC (root), and 05.15, 05.17 (root exploit fixed) )

Unrooted
Im not rooted. Lost root in order to update.
Updated using the update.zip off of Motorola's site. So does this mean I can root or I'm screwed.
Thanks again.

Here are my settings that I captured using the screenshot app.

I know I'm going to sound really stupid, but does this mean I have root? I did this rooting method when I first got my Cliq and put Handler's ROM on my Cliq. Than I had to allow the Screenshot app when using it. Last time I rooted any device was my old G1 so long ago and now I'm confused all over again haha.Last edited by System89; 03-10-2010 at 10:30 PM.

It is this, if you have root and will be careful, you won't lose it. Only if you are unrooted on new firmwares you won't root them again. So ensure you keep the root.

look the main thing if you did a flash and you have some new apps like super user and terminal
and you can open terninal and type su then hit enter and super user comes up asking for permission to use this function then you have root...other wise you will get permissions deniedDISCLAIMER
