Just to be clear. Is it possible to have a fully working 2.1 ROM?
Why You haven't been able to run "anything 2.1" since now? I mean, what makes the difference?
I'm excited about this.
yeah.

Of course it's possible, it's just a matter of finding out how, which is more difficult for Moto devices.

_.__.__._I have retired. If you PM me, I may not reply.

all i did was to copy all the com.android.* from the data directory of a nandroid backup to my current device database after flashing the update. it appears to be a problem with the creating if initial files associated with reading the fill contents of the SIM card.
since flashing the new version, mad props for getting like a million things fixed in a day, i have not been able to recreate that. im working on it now and will be till i get it done or 4am.

I had a no-call audio issue sometime back in the G1 days... I don't remember exactly what the fix was, but I remember adding something to the manifest.xml to allow call audio cause it was actually being blocked for some reason.
Not sure if that will help but it just sparked a really old memory.

Sweet - if otabbb got us to 2.1 (and i dont think ive seen any 1.6 mods) then it shouldnt be a stretch to push it to 2.2, get the performance boost (up to 400% according to benchmarks which would help the outdated qualcomm do more), and most importantly, break free once and for all of Motorola's chokehold over this device.
Baby steps - i know - but seriously: 2.2 breaks us free from MOTO's piss poor support (or lack thereof) for the CLIQ.

I'm just wondering if Moto release 2.1 for Cliq in June, would that make it easier for you guys to then port Android 2.2 to the Cliq?
