The whole reason I'm using this ROM (besides the fact that I'm tired of 1.5) is because MotoBLUR, while a gimmick that convinced me and my brother to buy one, is a waste of resources.

Besides, MotoBLUR is practically worthless in 2.1, since most of the functionality is either downloadable, or comes in Android by default.

I don't really see y u would wanna put motoblur in this all motoblur does is slow ur phone down u can do the same crap with downloadable apps I prefer to remove motoblur myself

Which app can I use to backup my contacts other than motoblur? It's because of my contacts I use motoblur and It's the only thing keeping me of using Eclair2Cliq.

the only thing worse than motoblur itself is the fact that moto won't let you diable or remove it AND won't let you export contacts, so that you will just go buy another motoblur phone. HTC's sense UI at least ADDS to the experience AND you can turn it off if you don't want it.

So I have been trying to download the alpha 2 but 4shared doesn't seem to want to give it to me, is there anywhere else I could grab that. Also is the alpha 3 coming out soon enough I should just wait for that instead?

Idk bout the contacts I haven't used 2.1 for more than few hours do to I can't get data to work hahahaah I'm flip flopin but id sync it with google or export them to ur sim

The official Facebook app has a contact sync as well as the official Twitter app. The only thing that doesn't is MySpace.

Uhm, because the dev(s) want us to test it out for them. Now if this was a beta, RC, or release version, and didn't have data or other key functions working, then I'd be worried. But as of now, be glad that the Alpha even lets you make phone calls and use WiFi.

Key functions? data works and i can make calls and use the market and browse the web, Send text messages etc, seems like most of everything is working, Plus this is why its an ALPHA! its not a full build theres bugs to be fixed and it is being worked on, Alpha is released so others can play and maybe figure somthing out too!
