Eclair2CLIQ Alpha2 - Data problems
For those of you having data issues I think ive found what our problem is.
Customization | Android Open Source
I'm probably wrong, but It might be something to do with APN's.
I tried entering details for the one I should use [Orange UK] and it won't show up after reboot or even save the data.

To the devs: How would I put this .xml file into the rom to make my phone see it?Last edited by robrob119; 06-05-2010 at 11:24 AM.

Is it only Dext users that are having troubles with Data? Becauase I am in Wisconsin, USA, with spotty 3g coverage, and I had trouble getting the data connection working untill i followed these steps:
1)Turn on airplane mode with phone on homescreen
2)wait 3 seconds and turn off airplane mode
3)run a gscript (or alternatively you can run the commands manually)
4)repete steos 1-3 if data still isnt working
I also found that the occasional reboot helped me obtain data connection, as well as stepping outside into the open air. also make sure you have data roaming on (wireless & networks -> Mobile Networks -> Data Roaming)
Is this what the issue is? or is it the APN list, cant you just manually add APN's?

Hmm thats very strange, can you go back to other roms and have it load the APN correctly? Like Handler's 1.6 alpha 7

but I wanted to ask ... in the dhcp folder in the data folder is it supposed to be empty?

Data Problems
OK, i have figured out that the no data problem is somehow related to the sim card. I pulled my working T-Mobile sim card and replaced it with an un-activated T-Mobile sim card. After doing this and rebooting the phone, I went to settings:wireless controls:mobile networks:select network, the phone said searching, then T-Mobile and ATT popped up. I chose T-Mobile, then backed out to the mobile networks. I then chose APN, and lo and behold their was epc.t-mobile.com. Since the sim card was not activated I could not check to see if the data worked, but when my regular sim is in I do not get any apns, so this has to be it. Anyone have any idea what this means? Also, is this just a T-Mobile user problem, or are there people with other providers having the same problem?
