how to create my own custom rom

Hi guys i just wanted to kno how to create a custom rom...
and is it really hard to create one..

Do you want to create it from scratch, or use a base?
To create it from scratch, do you have a linux system?

A "base" ROM would be the official update put out over-the-air. You can get it here.

Or you could ask someone if you can use their rom.

Like for my OpenCliq Eclair v2.0, i asked travisjames if i could use Eclair2cliq alpha 5 as a base, just ask first!

The ROM you have, is it android 1.5, or 2.1?

what you do is the easiest thing to do is use a rom thts made like they said a "base" remember ask permission first to use it then you need your sdk setup on your pc refer to the Cliq Bible for tht and once you have your sdk all up, you need a signing tool.

if your on ubuntu/linux use this if your on windows use this

and all you do is edit stuff add/delete apps (system/app)
and then sign

but remember to create nandroid backups incase you edit something and it wont boot
