Any, (for android 2.1) im currently basing this off of Luke's though, because cyanogen already got it working on N1 (2.1).
Basically, anything may work. They may be the piece of the puzzle im looking for to debug + add features.

ive found a multi touch browser from the G1 its 2.1 AOSP also would u like to look at it?

Okay, i looked around, and cyanogens browser was taken off, because it was substituted with N1 OTA update which included multitouch support. Im gonna get that update, and play with it for a while, see if i can do anythiing with it.

YES! email it to me, i wouldnt try to flash, probably wouldnt work. Im probably gonna adb it. However, you can adb it, or flash, if youd like!

Okay! i have extracted the browser files, once my cousins get off my laptop im gonna adb.

So.. itll flash and boot, but browser is missing? Try pushing the browser file via adb, while in the currently flashed rom.

i dont have adb it wont work on ubuntu

i have a nudge tht its in

Browser.apk>res>xml>browser_preferences.xml

or

Browser.apk>res>layout>custom_screen.xml

well i know it has to do with multitouch controller. but im not trying to open up a browser.apk, edit it, sign, then install it. Im gonna try to get as far as i can with this N1 browser. If you want i can email you the browser files.

Basically where im at: Im trying to remove my current browser.apk but im getting read only error. my pc wont recognize remount rw or any other read/write command, so im gonna do it from local terminal emulator. (remove current, then push or manually install new browser). If that doesnt work, im either going to take out the current browser from eclair2cliq rom, then install on phone, or im gonna replace browser (in rom files) with new one, then re-flash.

UPDATE: terminal and adb says it cannot find the browser.apk file, im gonna restart phone to see if it did get removed.

If you havent already emailed me, email me, so i have your address. ill email you the file contents as soon as i have your email. Im checking now, and it doesnt look like the browser has been removed.

Im gonna go straight to editing the eclair2cliq rom 1st with out any browser, then with replacement. Lets see where this gets us
