OpenCliq Eclair v2.1-R1, Even more stable. Even Faster! All applications have been updated, on top of the new Dialer application,
Which INCLUDES AN END CALL BUTTON! OpenCliq Eclair has always been dubbed "The Fastest Eclair ROM", Now its even faster.
All Force closes have been fixed. This Update is not a required update, however, it is very much recommended that you apply!
I have removed even more bloatware, ALL non-functional applications have been removed (if you find one, report!)
Once again, Made for everyday use! LW have been updated for smoother motions! [Based from Eclair2Cliq Alpha 5]

* Network speed depends on your current location. I say the speed in this ROM is above most because, the memory saved in the process of speeding up your entire device, leaves more memory for the applications that use the network ie. Browser, Email, etc.

* Environment speed depends on applications open, however, based on average speeds via numerous tests, the overall speed of your device running OpenCliq Eclair v2.0/v2.0.1/v2.1-R1 will be faster than most. Thanks to Hardware acceleration, and the use of applications to modify processing speeds.

Does it come with the speed increasers already configured?

I call them speed increasers for noobs haha

They're really just: Hardware acceleration, Battery-life app (increases memory and speed) and Overclockers.

The Hardware Accelerator is already in there, configured; JuiceDefender (battery) configures itself; The overclocker Widget, you control, abide by the OMAP processor, and dont go too high! Its very risky! BUT a little overclocking wont do much harm

The reason I am asking is because I just installed alpha 5 and even with setcpu set to full blast my live wallpapers slow the thing down to a crawl... that is, only when swiping between screens, if it is only sitting on one screen it looks great

True... but since we can't overclock this phone, I'm not sure what you are referring to.

Im not sure what Live Wallpaper you are using, so i cant give you a definate outcome. But ill tell you that im currently running Nexus One Revamped (which is veryyy high in memory usage, probably higher than any other), and i have it set on Fast Speed. On top of that, i have like 50 apps running in the background as well as syncing exchange server.

Im probably using 10x the memory as you are haha, when i switch screens, i dont see any lag what so ever.

P.S. im not even using my overclocker. I personally think you shouldnt EVER need it on this ROM unless your pulling major weight!!!

You can set CPU min and max processing speeds. Not softwarewise, more hardwarewise.

Downloading it now, using my cliq as a modem so it might be a while. For some reason I've only been pulling 60 kbs download speeds on full strength 3G.

Probably really 60 KB/s which is roughly 480kbps, which is pretty normal for 3G.

Yeah, I am using N1 revamped as we speak... is there someting in SpareParts I should be doing? I have it set to full 528 Mhz clock speed and 0 apps running in the backgroun

And if you REALLY need more power: Turn off window animations; Turn off Transition Animations; Keep fancy input animations unchecked; Turn Off haptic feedback and Compatibility Mode.

However! Turning off haptic feedback, and Compatibility mode may increase your speed, but is not recommended, due to some apps (especially those made for any ASOP below 2.1) not working properly, or at all.
