Found a Droidx dump... now what?

So I was poking around over on XDA and found a link to a dump of the DroidX with all of the nice 2.1 blur-ey goodness. I can only assume that some of these APKs contain the things that are holding e2c back.

Assuming that someone were to come across this dump somewhere else does anyone know if there are any files in there that can be used to fix, say, the camera in Eclair?

it actually might help...idk though im not a dev nor would i have any clue of what to do with the dump im sure someone on here would though

no real apps work on E2C ive tried but if theirs a system.img and boot.img and all the files like libs ect.... then tell travis, handler jr and we can port it but i doubt it has all tht

i was more thinking along the lines of... this is a 2.1 blur rom... barakinflorida might have found some of the "mysterious unreleased files" in there and could point me in the right direction. more than once i've kinda wanted to use my camera but not badly enough to want to nandroid back to a blur rom to do so.

well to port blur from the droidx u need the system.img and boot.img........

I'm definitely not talking about 2.1 blur on the Cliq. I'm a happier person for having stock 2.1 on my phone.

i get tht....... but if he were to port things from it the apks wouldnt work hed most likly have to fully boot it

Yeah, understood. I was assuming, probably wrongly, that barakinflorida had taken some files from this droidx dump and used it to complete the E2C rom that he is currently running and unable to release to the general public, that's all.

I would assume that the files used to complete eclair came from a hookup at moto, and they cannot release it to protect their hookups identity. Moto has ways of finding out who let a file slip. We don't need anyone getting sacked now do we? Jobs are hard to find these days. This is what happened to an employee from another manufacturer who released a file on xda's forums.

that could be the case as well. i saw a post somewhere that said "as soon as blur on 2.1 is released." i read into that careful wording as saying that it wasn't something specific to the cliq, and since the droidx dump was let slip at about the exact same time as beta-1 was finalized on E2C i put two and two together. of course, i could be going way too far with that thinking as well. Droidx comes out tomorrow so in theory i'll know in the morning if i'm right
