Hmm, this scanning but no-sound thing, it sounds familiar. Didn't we get to this stage at first on 1.5? before being able to hear as well I mean..

xiaojiang51888, you seem to have looked into the code of the fmradio apps/libs, thanks for the explanation =) were you able to identify anything in particular that we are currently missing?

Yeah, some 1.5 roms had FM Radio working because of kernel support. We have to wait for developers to implement that, AFAIK.

In Motorola Defy firmware, there is CMP with radio support. I tried with adxl 2.1.5-2 but nothing. I noticed, that there was FM Radio Volume, when CMP with radio is running. No sound, no scanning.

Ok. I read in the XT section that the FIX they have for the Speaker issue also fixed the FMRadio (correct my if im wrong). Now im not sure if this can be implemented on the Cliq but adlx can probably confirm if he has it working or not.

FM Radio was fixed on the CliqXT previous to the Speakerphone fix. They are two separate things. I've not been able to get sound on the Cliq yet (I haven't worked on that lately either to be honest, but I' out of idea)

adlx : this ROM is excellent!!! It run like a charm. A little slow but I will try to overclock to see if it speed up a little... I mean it is not as slow as the 1.5 **** but need a little boost...

Question : about the FM radio!! Do you think you will make it run once a day?

Also... I know that you have to associate your name to this ROM but It is possible to put a slash screen that is a little but more discreet? lol

Do you think overclocking will make the ROM more smooth and make the touch screen more responsive?

Does Anyone knows if the Motorola Spice (XT300) uses the Broadcom 4325 solution?
The Spice specs are similar to the specs of the Cliq/Dext. The Spice runs android 2.1 and FM radio is enabled.
If the Spice use the Broadcom 4325 maybe we can use the source of the Spice to enable FM radio in the Cliq and the Cliq XT.
